Athey Jr. High

Wednesday night and weekend through-the-Bible teaching is central to the Youth Ministry. From Jr. High and onward, all students are encouraged to attend the primary services in the sanctuary with the adults.

The church is open Thursday night for both Jr. High and High School. At Hillside, the Jr. High meets downstairs in the Multipurpose Room and lower foyer while the High School meets upstairs in the sanctuary and upper foyer. There are fun games and activities, snacks, and time spent in worship and God’s Word. If it’s your first time, make sure to meet one of the youth leaders to get acquainted!

Serv­ing in the church is a great way to build bonds with oth­er believers.

There are many oppor­tu­ni­ties to par­tic­i­pate by ser­ving, and we like to part­ner teams of youth togeth­er to meet var­i­ous needs around the church.

This min­istry oppor­tu­ni­ty is called Duck­Feet. This is rep­re­sen­ta­tive of how a duck­’s webbed feet are unseen but kick hard under the water’s sur­face, allow­ing the duck to glide across the water smooth­ly. Some pos­si­ble tasks include:

• Youth Night setup/​teardown (Thurs­day evenings before/​after Youth Night)
• Athey Kids craft pro­duc­tion (Thurs­days before/​during Youth Night)
• Mis­cel­la­neous oth­er needs (select church events, Oper­a­tion Christ­mas Child, etc.)
