Wednesday night and weekend through-the-Bible teaching is central to the Youth Ministry. From Jr. High and onward, all students are encouraged to attend the primary services in the sanctuary with the adults.
Youth Night is a robust time of worship, a word shared from scripture, and an opportunity to connect with some solid friends. There are fun games and activities, snacks, and time spent in worship and God’s Word. If it’s your first time, make sure to meet one of the youth leaders to get acquainted!
Outposts are small groups that meet all over the Portland Metro Area. There can be a lot of people at Youth Night, so this is a great opportunity to meet others in a quieter environment while studying through scripture and sharing a meal together. These are hosted and led by our Youth Night volunteers. Schedules for Outposts can vary, so sign up for the Outpost nearest to you to get an email with the details. Outposts are on pause during the summer break, but they typically meet on either the first Thursday or third Sunday of the month.
High School youth are encouraged to volunteer for Work Crew, with younger kids during weekend or Wednesday night services, or in other areas at church. Please visit our Volunteer Page for more information on how to get involved.
Whether you’re new or have been attending Athey for a while, events can be a great way to get plugged in with smaller groups. Events are action-packed, so be ready for adventure! Plan to always bring a Bible and meet someone new. Visit our Events page to learn more about what’s going on at Athey Creek.
