The nation of Israel remains divided in 2 Kings and both sides find themselves generally being led by wicked and sinful rulers. Despite the occasional godly king and the miracle-filled ministry of Elisha, the people fail to turn wholly to God and will find themselves being carted into captivity – just as God said would happen.
