Instead of being happy that Jesus was in their region healing demon-possessed men, the people of the Gergesenes wanted Him gone. And the reasons they didn’t want Jesus around are the same reasons we often have today. As we study Matthew 8:28-34, we see how their gradual compromises led them to this point and how we can avoid a similar fate.
